Governor's
Office of Crime Control and Prevention: The Governor's Office
of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP) is responsible for producing
the Maryland Crime Control and Prevention Strategy and coordinating
the effort to implement its recommendations. The GOCCP provides
information, grant opportunities and technical assistance to local
governments and community organizations to support innovative crime
control and prevention efforts.

MARGIN:
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Gang Investigators Network (MARGIN)
is comprised of over 500 members representing 75 law enforcement
and criminal justice agencies. The Network seeks to improve officer
and public safety through a variety of means including; real-time
sharing of gang specific information and gang related trends, supporting
legislation designed to curb the occurrence of gang related crimes,
educating teachers, parents and students in gang awareness and prevention
and providing training on street gangs, tactics and philosophies
to all members and requesting participating agencies.
