Evidence-Based Practice Spotlight: Botvin LifeSkills Training Program

Botvin LifeSkills Training is a universal substance use and violence prevention program targeting grades 3-12 in school-based settings and the home. LifeSkills Training has been extensively tested and is considered to be a best practice for reducing alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATOD) as well as delinquency and criminal behavior, sexual risk behaviors, sexually transmitted infections, and violence.
In this webinar, you will learn the theory, research, and rationale behind the LifeSkills Training program, become familiar with the program’s curriculum and core components, think through implementation considerations, and develop an understanding of robust evidence supporting the program.
