HIDTA-Funded Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force Arrests Four Members of Cocaine Trafficking Organization

The W/B HIDTA-funded Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force announced on April 15, 2021, the arrest of four members of a cocaine trafficking organization. The arrests were made following a year-long investigation by the task force.

According to a media release sent this week, the investigation began last April, when the task force identified members of a cocaine trafficking organization operating in Winchester and Frederick counties in VA. Approximately 308 grams of cocaine with a street value of $14,300.00, 29 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $1,300.00, nine firearms, and $5,578.00 in currency was seized from the suspects’ residences. 

The task force is comprised of law enforcement personnel from Clarke, Frederick, Page and Shenandoah county sheriff’s departments, Front Royal, Luray, Strasburg, and Winchester police departments and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Culpeper Field Office.
